BLAGOVEST APOSTOLOV

Blagovest Apostolov was born on the thirteenth of July 1953 in Sofia, Bulgaria.  He is classically trained in the arts, with complete balance of unique artistic know how and sound engineering. Apostolov completed his formal education at the “National Academy of Arts”, and then in 1980 was invited into the “Union of Bulgarian Artists”. Being accepted into the “Union of Bulgarian Artist” is a huge honor and brings to his reputation and accomplishments great prestige.

With grounding in the academics and acceptance by his peers, Apostolov opened his first solo exhibition in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1985. His pieces were in such high demand, the exhibition was extended to two years. Apostolov became the craze in Western Europe and thus lead to having a string of exhibitions throughout Europe; Italy(1989), Belgium(1990),Munich, Germany(1991) where he was awarded the highly acclaimed recognition of “Best in Class” in Europe. In 2000, Apostolov major exhibition opened to commemorate Sofia’s jubilee. 

Apostolov had his first opening in the United States, via Indulgences Art Gallery in 2004, at the prestigious Art Expo in New York. This was followed by Art Expo-Atlanta in 2005, Baltimore in 2007, Las Vegas Art Expo in 2007- 2008.

Today with Bulgaria as a member of the European Union, Apostolov’s work has appreciated in value at considerable rates over the past several years.  His work will compel and linger with you due to its intelligence,  artistic blend of “outside the box” and classic sound engineering. All of this makes his art ageless!
